the show of long songs

Without long underwear. Though it's high time, no? Ok, November. Ok MUSIC.

1. Joanna Newsom- Sawdust and Diamonds (like, steal a title from Joan Boaz? "Diamonds and Rust," that is. But Joanna's still got it)
2. The Microphones- The Glow (Not to be confused with the following parts. Yay for off-tune singing and toy instruments! No, I meant it.)
3. The Velvet Underground- The Murder Mystery (Close your ears if under the influence or if susceptible to vertigo)
4. Beck- Static/ Diamond Bollocks (Second track with "Diamonds," out of 11. Bringin' back the Beck of old.)
5. Television- Marquee Moon (How could I NOT? Obviously I have more time on my hands when all tracks are roughly 8 minutes and over)
6. The Decemberists- The Tain (All IV movements. First time I heard this was live. Prob my fav of theirs. No Q's or A's)
7. Dungen- Du E For Fin For Mig (Umlauts over the "o" of "For," both occurences. I think "Mig" means "me." Speaking of live shows- awesome.)
8. The Fiery Furnaces- Mason City (NEED TO SEE THEM> THE CAPS LOCK BUTTON IS STUCK ON THE STATIONS COMPUTER< SORRY FOLKS)
9> A Hawk and A Hacksaw- Laughter in the Dark (Ok back to the norm. A kindly fellow DJ introduced me to H n' H when he sat in on my first show. This is getting anecdotal.)
10. Menomena- Monkey's Back (yyyyeeah!)
11. Yellow Swans- I Woke Up (This had better wake you up)
